Painting as a personal journey.

Giannis Patsoulis is a self-taught painter driven by a deep need for creation and expression. His relationship with painting developed outside strict academic conventions, through personal exploration, constant experimentation and dedication.

In his work, the human form meets elements of nature, memory and symbolism. Vivid colours, contrasts and expressive brushwork create images that move between reality and dream.

Each painting begins with an emotion or an inner image. The initial idea evolves freely and gains a presence of its own, leaving room for the viewer’s personal interpretation.
